ABSOLUTE LEGENDS!

julia finch · June 28, 2025 certified reviewer
So nice I had to see it twice! A hilarious show about two white, cis male legends (the performers address this)! An unlikely pairing of Yuri Gagarin and Hercules opens the door to a world of bits based on reality and myth.... full review

And Her Children

and her Children hooks you from the start with Hailey McAfee’s undeniable charm and effortless command of the audience. What follows is an upsetting and relevant look at America’s dilemma over who to protect and who to silence. If you are familiar with Brecht’s Mother Courage, you will enjoy the references and squirm over how history repeats itself. ... full review

Smile, Baby

Smile, Baby is a tasty little sketch comedy piece about street harassment and being a woman. The subject matter is so relevant and honest that you may want to cry rather than laugh. Don't worry though, these actors are experts at satire. I especially enjoyed Linda Serrato-Ybarra's performance as Kevin, that one dude who always wants to make sure you get home safe. A great script by Savannah Dooley covers a range of experiences women can relate to and contextualizes them in a way that will make ev... full review

Tiananmen Annie

Tiananmen Annie is a genuine treasure of a one-woman show. Ann Starbuck masterfully guides the audience on a journey through her personal experience as a college student living in Beijing at the time of the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. Her heartfelt stories reflect her great love and respect for the people she met while in China. As a young woman close to the age Ann was when she studied abroad, I would recommend this show to anyone contemplating their purpose in life or anyone looking for ... full review
