U and Me and My Best Friend P

This is one of the most imaginative solo performances I've ever seen - first off, it's all told in rhyme - and very clever and satisfying rhyme at that! Second, it's about language, poetry, ideas and princes and princesses as human beings. And, thirdly, Abby knows how to tell a tale - she is so delightfully at home in the moment. She is able to make you laugh even while your heart twists. I could have watched/listened to many more stories. The experience was completely unexpected and totally... full review

The Poe Show

I loved this show - so whacky, irreverent, clever, funny and smart. I've been hearing about it for years and am soooo glad I got to witness what the fuss is all about - it's well deserved! ... full review

Snack

I LOVED this solo show! Refreshing, funny, well written and delightfully told by Megan Dolan whose acting talents, candor, perspective and wit serve her well as she travels between her struggles with motherhood in the present and her family life as an 8 year old girl trying to make sense of her changing world. I cared for all the characters and was totally engaged. I highly, highly recommend Snack!!... full review

The Board

Beautifully written and acted. I was very involved from start to finish. The monologue revolves around a court martial hearing - it could have been very dry and formal - instead it was engaging, drew me into the experience at the heart of the hearing with compassion and insight. Thanks so much!... full review

Smile, Baby

A fun and relevant series of sketches that totally held my attention - witty, fresh, topical and unexpected. The all-female cast plays men and women of all sorts dealing with harrassment - the opening monologue by a young man trying to pick up a young woman who wanted nothing to do with him was patricularly well written and performed and set the serious/funny tone for the rest of the evening. Well done!... full review

My Sister

I loved this show - the Hinkler sisters are touching, feisty, daring, compassionate performers with an exciting ability to transform themselves into characters from another era. The play is heartbreaking in its simplicity focusing on a complicated relationship as it is undermined by the Nazi's rise to power. See it, see it, see it!!... full review
