Don't be fooled by the title: Drunk Tank is a surprisingly sobering take on what matters most when the world is ending. The haunting electronic-pop score, dynamite singers, and unexpectedly poignant book pack an emotional punch....

Brought my mom to see this with me--her first Fringe show ever!--and I have to give you guys my thanks because she had such a good time that she is now planning HER 2014 Fringe entry and making plans to see many more shows. A thoughtful and well-curated piece of documentary theater. As a resident of Echo Park and reader of EastsiderLA.com (especially the comments section), hearing the comments aloud was profound and sometimes shocking. A must-see for Eastside residents and anyone grappling with the question of what it means to be a community....

Speaking of which, there were about a dozen kids in the crowd and they had a blast! How great to hear their laughter and excitement! This show strikes a perfect balance between the silly and the profound - I won't give any spoilers, but things get real and the clowns ably take ...

An hour truly well spent. I've been hearing about Porter's Macbeth all week, and after catching a performance last night, I can say it certainly lives up to the hype. A cast member used the word "experimental" to describe the style of the show, and while I suppose that's true, I've never had an alternative theater experience that felt so natural. The actors' movements and voices rise and fall organically with the pitch of the story, and the Porter's varying degrees of sobriety are the perfect ...
