Alex Suha
Alex Suha’s mime training began at the Second City and the Improv Olympic theaters in 1999. It continued at the University of Iowa, and then at the London International School of Performing Arts. In 2006, he earned the distinction of being the “First Stage Manager to Survive a Rouge Show Without Crying,” from the Rouge Artist’s Ensemble of Los Angeles. He is a founding company member of Ralph Hall’s Iowa Tent Theatre Project. He created the role of Dufus in Magical Night with James Conlon and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the Ravinia festival. He has devised with Anisa George and Penn Dixie’s The Seer, which rocked Edinburgh last summer, with Sascha Blocker of Portland, with Up and Down Theatre of Santa Fe whose production of LUCY has recently made its world premiere at Dixon Place in NYC, and with Joanna Wright and Sky Candy of Austin, Tx. His clown show, “Do Not Push!” has played in London, Philadelphia, Chicago, Portland and Bilbao. A teacher of acting, clown, directing and devising, he has held class at the Second City, Columbia College, Aloft Circus Arts, and in his own workshops in many cities throughout the USA and Europe.
