Rebecca gives the best performance I’ve seen this Fringe - vulnerable, honest, complex. Truly a treat to behold. ... full review

Will the Real Me Please Stand Up?

Deeply touching (and woefully understandable) story told with empathy, humor, and heart. Terrific performance, great writing, and wonderful direction. Underneath all of the “Alex” personas is a powerful being who it is a pleasure to witness. ... full review

The Nether

I've been waiting to see a performance of this since I read the script last year and my expectations were low - this is a HARD script and Fringe can be a mixed bag. I was pleasantly surprised to find a cast of truly great actors, direction with fantastic pacing, incredible clarity, and an overall production that stuck the landing. I knew what was coming and I was still creeped out. The best drama I've seen thus far at Fringe. Bravo and brava.... full review

Little Stars Youth Theatre Presents: MACBETH (a solo show)

I don't know WHAT I was expecting, but it wasn't this show and I couldn't be happier about it! If every Little Stars performance is as fantastically performed and directed, I'll be back to see them do AGAMEMNON in the Spring. Jill is a terrific performer with great comedic timing, the concept, characters and script are so fun, and the playbill program is inspired. Side note: I teach improv and drama to K-6th grade and I was TRIGGERED by this show. THIS IS MY SUMMER VACATION!!! ;) Fun, great ideas... full review

School for Love

I love when shows can string together a bunch of popular songs and create a full narrative with brand new characters. And this one kills it (in the good way) - great characters arcs, terrific song choices, killer vocals, wonderful performances, even fun video projections! Go check it out and sing along!!!!!... full review

Under the Influence

Seeing any show by this group is always a treat - I always know there will be great characters, a solid story, terrific arcs, and lots of laughing out loud. "UTI" is fantastic (..... though I don't think I'll abbreviate it that way again...). This show is truly super fun - the direction is great, the writing is sharp, the performances are spot-on, the music (esp the finale) is fun - - and there's even some great life lessons, of course! One of the best I've seen at Fringe this year. GO!... full review

Heart of Golden Tar

A challenging, cinematic tour through one man's psyche (heart) as he searches for his lost partner, Sif. Through a series of Vonnegut- and Gilliam-infused jumps in time, space, and reality, Randy experiences his past, possible answers for Sif's disappearance, and a torrent of emotions arriving in the form of clock and dagger espionage, Dungeons and Dragons heroics, and World War battlefields. The intent is there, but it is truly SO cinematic and purposefully disjointed that the jumps in space and... full review

Sinatra: RAW

Now, I'd been told that Richard Shelton did a great Frank Sinatra impression. But make no mistake, this is not a Sinatra impression show. This is simply watching Frank Sinatra live on stage. The energy, the mannerisms, the brass, the VOICE, the storytelling.... this is truly a show not to be missed. If you love to hear the "real stories" behind a lot of the phony tabloids, this is the show for you. If you love stories with wit, passion, and perseverance, this show is for you. And if you love to h... full review

The Talent Show: A One-Woman Experience

TALENT SHOW was so fun! All of Laura’s characters were so endearing and funny and her improvisation skills are top notch! The structure of the show was really creative and I along with the rest of the audience loved the commercials! i’m not sure if I just got lucky and voted for the winner of the talent show during my performance or if the same character one every time she did it, but either way, great time!... full review
