Liza is a writer, working as a Showrunners Assistant on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. She grew up in a hobbit house in Michigan, thought “W” was pronounced “double-me” when said in the first person, and briefly considered dentistry as a viable career path until eventually choosing a more practical route: entertainment. She enjoys writing everything from screenplays to musicals, so long as it’s dark and witty. She often finds herself laughing at the surreal and absurd things in life like Paul Hackett in Scorsese’s After Hours, and finds a way to turn just about everything into a Book of Mormon or Chicago lyric. When she’s not writing or pondering what the heck consciousness is, she’s hunting for postmodern furniture at estate sales, making a disaster in the kitchen while learning a new recipe, and binging “Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared” as a form of therapy. Green is her favorite color.
