Pamela Ribon is an Academy Award® nominated filmmaker, screenwriter, performer, director, and novelist whose work blends grounded, emotional intimacy with bold, genre-pushing storytelling.

 

Oscar-nominated for her animated short My Year of Dicks, an adaptation of her critically-acclaimed comedic memoir NOTES TO BOYS (AND OTHER THINGS I SHOULDN’T SHARE IN PUBLIC), Pamela’s career spans multiple Oscar-nominated animated films (Moana, Nimona, Ralph Breaks the Internet), Emmy-winning television (Samantha Who?), documentaries (Disneynature’s Bears), acclaimed comics (SLAM!, My Boyfriend is a Bear), and bestselling novels. She is currently writing EMILY THE STRANGE for Warner Bros. Animation and Bad Robot. She co-hosts the podcast Listen To Sassy, a weekly deep-dive through every issue of Sassy Magazine.

Pamela is thrilled to return to directing for the stage with Lorena Russi’s unforgettable “TOMÁS.” In prior years, Pamela’s comedy and stage work has been showcased at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival, and featured at LA’s The Hudson, The Knitting Factory, and Austin’s Paramount Theatre.
