WINNER BEST SOLO PERFORMANCE & ENCORE: UNDER THE JELLO MOLD

If you haven't already, make sure you make reservations to see Jennie Fahn in "Under The Jello Mold" at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. A deeply moving and funny performance, ably directed by Tom Cavanaugh. Fahn is a loose and honest actor, the kind that puts the audience at ease, and she has an impeccable natural sense of comedic timing. Just the kind of show that I go to the fringe for! No frills, heavy on the imagination, a terrifically funny and touching script (that was apparently written through the rehearsal process) and 3 amazing performances from 3 incredibly talented actors. If you like theatre that's theatrical and imaginative, it's one of the best hours you'll spend at the Fringe this year!... full review

A story (or several connected ones) told through movement, dance and music with very few (almost no) words -- this isn't simply a dance piece, though, but a fully-realized display of the magic of theatre. The actors are all riveting, providing mesmerizing performances. Simply but powerfully lit, amazingly choreographed, this 50-minute show will take you on a... full review
