Robert Nguyen is currently a radio disc jockey at Radio Suerte KLIE-LP 90.3 FM. He started out co-hosting The Party Train as “The Brakeman” and now has his own show “The Mixed Tape Radio Hour” that airs every weeknight at 7pm Pacific (live on local Orange County radio or livestream at www.radiosuerte.com).
He has worked with superstar Bette Midler and producer Bonnie Bruckheimer in coordinating films, television programs and music (tours and album releases).
He is currently the activities director at Garden Grove High School where he has produced and directed several productions as well as advises the ASB on fundraising for all the athletic programs and other programs at the school.
He also teaches in the World Language department and has been recognized as Mr. Vietnamese Teacher by his peers across the nation (and some international) for two consecutive years (2023, 2024).
He is currently a producer and content creator for Afterglow Productions where he works alongside Roxy Astor, one of the original stars of the late 80s hit TV show Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW).
Also, he is an Associate Producer for the upcoming film A Lone Lost Soul (dir. Theone Ly) and Executive Producer for two films from the Echo 8 Trilogy: Five By Five and Echo 8 Beyond (dir. Maria Tran & Takashi Hara).
Among the many hats he wears, Robert is also a pastor at Christ Chapel Orange County, an affirming church in Lake Forest. He is also president of Orange County Cornerstone Outreach, an organization that helps those in need in OC. He is also a volunteer at OC Animal Care in Tustin, CA.
Last year, the world premiere of Matilda the Hun: The Raw Meat earned 10 BroadwayWorld nominations and won 3 awards! We are honored to return this year and introduce Matilda the Hun to the Hollywood Fringe Festival!
