Definitely one not to miss! Creatively put together, entertaining, and you'll probably learn something too. Great work from Celebration Theatre and the performers who put these truly original pieces together. More, please!... full review

Sweet Love Adieu

Smart, funny, bawdy, awesome! The creator of my personal favorite show from HFF 15 does it again - there is so much comedic brilliance in the writing and in the performances. My words fail me, Ryan J-W Smith's never do. Go if you possibly can! ... full review

A highly entertaining slightly under-an-hour concert by an engaging and multi-talented Irish singer-songwriter who accompanies himself on several instruments - he gets the audience to variously sing along, clap along, and shout along to several songs, which they did enthusiastically. (Be aware that this is more a concert than a theatrical performance.)... full review

Oblivious: A Videogame Theatre Experience

OBLIVIOUS was a surprisingly cool delight on a hot summer day - I hope the creators find a way to expand this into something longer - i can imagine this having a good run somewhere. The video component is very high quality, and both the premise/story and the look are creatively done. (and, as someone who does NOT like to participate, i love that you check off a box on the 'immigration' form before you enter indicating your willingness to be selected.)... full review

Delightfully funny (and punny) self-aware take on noir with sexy dames, slinky chanteuses, a tough PI, crooked cops, a car chase, and the horrors of that demon drug - REEFER! Strong performances throughout (especially the always excellent Alli Miller), and lots of laughs - an excellent way to spend an hour, ... full review

Love Labours Won

Caught the 6pm Friday show, and it was absolute mad genius brilliant - one of my favorite things i've seen at the HFF. If i hadn't had to go to a friend's show at 11:30, i'd have gone back to see it again at midnight! The writing and performances were smart, funny, and delightful. And the star/writer/director i'd love to watch in anything. Though i did not for a minute believe that they were actually covering for an ailing actor, all the bits about it were so spot on (sock and all)... but ap... full review

Lemon Boots

amy francis schott · June 26, 2013 uncertified reviewer
An enjoyable, atmospheric hour in the theatre. I've been told i am "plot addicted", so this is not really my thing. LEMON BOOTS is primarily a dance piece with no concrete plot that i could discern, but there was lovely imagery and some sections (about isolation and "other"ness - i think) worked very well. Their use of technology was excellent, especially for Fringe. There is some limited audience participation, performers moving through the rows, etc. But getting everyone onstage to "dance" ... full review
