Joelle Joyner-Wong is a playwright, screenwriter, filmmaker and theater maker. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Theatre Studies from Sonoma State University. Joelle’s first play, “Cheers!” was performed at Sonoma State’s new works festival, Powerlines. The following year, Joelle wrote another play, “Ask Her Out!”, which got read at another festival called Super Molten Mega Hot. In 2023, had a stage reading for her play, “Post Grad Life” hosted by Plethos Productions in Castro Valley, CA. This past Summer, “Post Grad Life” had its first on-stage production at the SF Playground Free-Play Festival. Joelle is also an Alumni of BAYCAT Studio, which is a non-profit film production studio in San Francisco, CA that helps emerging filmmakers break into the film industry.
