Hello! I’m an award-winning writer/producer based in Los Angeles, specializing in detective procedurals, true crime, and family dramas.
As a former social worker, I supported at-risk youth, which sparked my passion for social justice. My experiences led to NiñaQuebrada, an award-winning film on sex trafficking, which screened at festivals and conferences internationally.
Later in my career, life’s unpredictable twists took me on an unexpected path when I faced challenges that caused me to start using a wheelchair. Despite that life-altering plot twist, I remained dedicated to my creative pursuits while advocating for those with disabilities on-camera and off.
Producer Terry Thoren (Rugrats, All Grown Up) commissioned me to write four episodes about ‘Danny,’ a teenager with a recent amputation, for the animated series, My Life is Worth Living. After that,I went on to support the writers of CW’s 4400 (Season 1) and Freeform’s Good Trouble (Season 5). Additionally, my pilot Sold, was picked up for development by Academy Award winning producer, Gary Lucchesi (Million Dollar Baby, Primal Fear) and my feature film adaptation My Bloody Life was almost optioned by Esai Morales, (Mission Impossible, Crescent City).Fun story. I’ll tell you later.
With a BA in Social Work and an MFA from AFI, I’ve been recognized for my writing through various industry fellowships including the PGA’s Power of Diversity Master Workshop (2019) and as a semi- finalist for the Disney Entertainment Television Writing Program (2024).
Outside work, I enjoy swimming, performing stand-up (sit-down) comedy, and spending time with my partner, chihuahua and gentle giant great dane.
