Freedom in limbo

When I received the email from the HFF asking if "I enjoyed the production of.....?", I cannot say that I enjoyed FREEDOM IN LIMBO. The intensity of this production are not to be enjoyed - rather it takes us on a journey through fear, rejection, oppression, abuse, invalidation but most of all COURAGE. Are these things to be enjoyed? No. However, are these things we must embrace, support, honor, and understand? Absolutely. FREEMDOM IN LIMBO begins before it begins - showing us the realities being ... full review

Homecoming: A Darkly Funny Tale About Losing My Mom and Finding Myself... Again

Dara is a captivating presence in front of an audience and delivers her story with warmth, affection, and personal connection with the audience. Being The Perfect Woman

I hold the intent and the performer in high regard. At the risk of sounding 'cliche', this was a courageous performance. This show has the potential to become something significant, but it is in the beginning stages of development. In the 30-minute window, the character/performer moves quickly through the five stages of grief - beginning in complete denial and ending in full acceptance - but there is no context of how they got through and processed each stage. ... full review

The Transpiring

What I love most about the HFF is the opportunity it provides for artists to create and try out new works. Like the characters in the play, Transpiring is in the process of figuring out who it is and how to say it. And I love getting to be along for the ride as Veronica and company find the core message. Wonderful energy / tight ensemble /clever script and libretto. I look forward to traveling with them as this show continues to develop. ... full review
