Pitch-dark comedy. Brilliant satire with wit so sharp you might cut yourself. A crisp, brisk, spot-on mindfuck that will leave you thinking about what the hell you're doing with your life.... full review

Bunny the Elf LIVE!

In Bunny the Elf, Christi Pedigo has created a daffy, delightful, and fundamentally decent and kind character. Unless you hate fun and joy, get to this show. You won't be sorry. ... full review

blackboxing

lisa k. wyatt · June 22, 2019 certified reviewer
Blackboxing is a hilarious, cringe-inducing exploration of the narcissism, neuroses, and sheer hubris of an actor putting on a one-man show. A loving and knowing skewering of a sometimes deeply self-indulgent art form.... full review

Raised By Wolves

Raised By Wolves is one of my favorite shows at Fringe so far. I can't recommend it highly enough. Marla has a unique voice and is a sure-handed writer with tremendous comic sensibility and compassion. As a performer, her charm, unself-conscious joy, and open-heartedness are infectious. This is an utterly unique story well, fearlessly, and entertainingly told. ... full review

It's an adorable, funny, sweet, tender, moving treatment of a timely and timeless problem. The music is catchy and filled with tight harmonies sung beautifully by a talented ensemble. Crisply-paced and mined for every bit of humanity and humor in the book. Michael Gordon Shapiro has written a show with legs.... full review

Trojan Women

This is a thoughtfully and effectively staged and deeply moving production. Olivia Buntaine is a director to watch. The cast delivers solid performances, especially Kay Capasso as Eris. The modern yet classic production and costume design have a timeless feel with a dustbowl palette. I look forward to seeing more from Project Nongenue in the future.... full review

A refreshingly original take on Shakespeare that fully explores the relationships in Hamlet and is its own riveting and raucous piece of theatre. Clever, witty and heartbreaking. Katelyn Schiller is my favorite Hamlet. Strong cast, well matched. Discovering truly unique works like this are what the joy of fringe is all about.... full review

Human Hothouse: The Aftershow

lisa k. wyatt · June 21, 2017 certified reviewer
A delightfully twisted piece of satire that delivers laugh after laugh. Tight and polished. Not a single moment is wasted. Great script. Well-paced. Brilliant performances from every member of this ensemble. Everyone gets their moment to shine so no one is stepping on other actors to fight for attention. It's refreshing to see a group that has respect for the art of comedy. Jim Hanna is a damned genius. Go see this play.... full review
