Writer, songwriter, and performer and educator, started acting in regional theatre,and then Second City, television and film. In the theatre she works as a playwright, musical director and composer, collaborating on new works in Los Angeles at Bootleg, Sacred Fools, Caltech, Unknown Theatre, the Met, and more. Her own plays include “Fables Du Theatre”, “Liquid”, “A Play In a Restaurant With a Piano and A Bar”, “Alice Through the Wormhole” and “Things That Fall From the Sky )”. The founder of Wordspace and one of the creators of Circle Readings, she’s also a member of Fellswoop Playwrights – and has a band that does original jazz/Americana. www.brendavarda.com
