Ritual Music to Cure a Lover

This show was one of my favorites out of the 40+ shows I attended at Hollywood Fringe. Weeks later I still think about it. For one hour, I was completely transported to another place and time through Sayadi’s brilliant writing, storytelling and acting. His full self stayed connected to each word and moment throughout the performance. I hope he performs this beyond Fringe so I can see it again! ... full review

30 April 1975: How We Left

This show knocked my socks off! I can't stop thinking about it almost a week later. Vivi is a master storyteller whose words and their order are poetic and powerful - transmuting truths into the depths of my heart. There were so many elements of this show that I loved, but here some that stood out to me... Vivi's performance and use of physicality and staging to transport the audience to a different time and place, the props and visuals, the education I received, the inventiveness of how she wove... full review

This is one of the most powerful, beautiful, inventive shows I've seen at Fringe. Margaret and Aria voices and lyrics captivated me throughout the show, opening up my heart and mind. The simplicity of the set and staging helped me focus on the message of their show, which I hope as many people as possible have a chance to hear. ... full review

Country Girl Makes Do

Clowning with heart! Sam is a master performer who doesn't half-ass anything- she goes full-on in whatever direction she's headed, transforming the space - and transporting the audience - into her world. She uses every tool/device possible (her physicality, voice, props, sound cues and word choice) to be Country Girl and it's a lesson in clowning to watch her. I could have spent many more hours with her! Don't miss this show!... full review

PSA: Pelvic Service Announcement

Amy is a treasure! I loved every minute of this hilarious, insightful, touching and educational performance! I would have been captivated just by Amy and what she was saying, but her use of videos and songs and props made it even more compelling and enjoyable! The writing and artistry of this work is best in class and every solo performer should see this. Also, I learned so much about my pelvic floor and it was comforting to have fodmap diet representation on the stage. ... full review

ANXIETY THE MUSICAL! (do you like that title? is that okay?)

dara kosberg · June 18, 2026 certified reviewer
I’m anxious I’m not going to do this incredibly hilarious, brilliant, mind-blowing show justice with this review, but here I go! This show is everything a solo show is supposed to be- inventive, risk-taking, heart-full! I don’t want to say too much because the show is an experience of discovery and you should discover it yourself. I don’t care about your busy schedule or that you’re already going to 50 Fringe shows. Make time to see this one! You won’t regret it. ... full review
