So twisted and dark and I couldn't get enough! Riveting, terrifying, touching, revolting. Everything you want in a fringe show!... full review

Myers takes the audience on such a layered and nuanced ride through the coping of one's mortality that it's hard to believe only 45 minutes have gone by. I can't recommend seeing this show enough- this is a performer and creator to watch out for! ... full review

The Inside Edge of the World

Michael is an incredible performer. A solo show can be one of the most difficult types of performance to tackle (and watch) but Michael transitions between characters effortlessly and its a joy to watch. The story and his acting is so specific and intriguing. My only issue is I wanted it to keep going! Definitely recommend checking it out!... full review

Four Clowns presents The Halfwits' Last Hurrah

I love Four Clowns! Different from previous shows I've scene from them, this being more of a variety show, but it still has the wonderful energy and play I expected from the talented cast! I love that the audience was invited to be a part of the experience and we all giggled the whole way through together. ... full review

Obviously Michael

It is clear that so much heart and enthusiasm went into making this show. It was wonderful to see such a committed cast having a great time up there and this made it fun for us to watch. I only wish I had kids to bring with me so they could relate to the many trials and tribulations explored of growing up and finding yourself, but it was fun to be reminded of the good ole' days anyway. Although it was primarily a younger, seemingly not-so experience cast, there were some really specific stand out... full review

2013 Encore Shows: TEXAS LOVES LYLA!

The start of the show had me some what worried- I didn't necessarily feel the performer was connected and genuinely seeing all of the "guests" in the audience she was addressing. But as the show went along, I was pleasantly surprised how I was increasingly sucked into the world and by the end, actually emotionally attached to and moved by her and some of the callers. Some fun writing and moments. The songs were a bit jaring and cheesey, although I even found myself entertained and enjoying the la... full review

Philosophy in the Boudoir

Wowza! I definitely had people in my group that literally got angry and repelled by this show, but I was pretty entertained and I suppose glad I saw it. Some definite problems with the script and flow/direction of the piece, but some really interesting and balls to the wall performances (literally). I commend the performers and producers for committing fully and not apologizing for any of it. But did many moments seem to be going for shock value rather than needing them to tell the story? Yes. HOT CAT

Really interesting exploration of Cat On a Hot Tin Roof. I was thankful I knew the play so well and couldn't help but wonder if it was confusing or lost on audience who didn't know the play at all, but some great ensemble work regardless. The stand out of the show was Blaire Chandler as Big Mama. Simply mesmerizing and so specific that it was hard to watch what else was happening on stage sometimes! My mind wandered at times and I feel like it could have been a little more grounded and cohesive, ... full review
