I did not grow up with Pokemon, and thought it was very strange when it first appeared, then I played it and got compeltely hooked and crossed them off a big chart in my bedroom everytime I got a new one.....I was 31 at the time, a secret I have kept hidden for 13 years until last night. Now I feel no shame in admitting my secret past. Pokemon the musical is great great fun, from the opening "power on" to the crazy finale. Quite frankly wonderful stuff! Fromt he moment the Spolin Players step out on stage you know you are in good hands and the enthusiasm and joy on the faces of those of the cast not in a particular game is just as much of a sign of the tightness of this ensemble. Not just a great funny night out but also a masterclass. Comedy IS serious business.... full review
