I am a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer, cartoonist and drag queen who has recently moved to LA from San Francisco, where I created and produced San Francisco’s longest running LGBTQ Showcase, Qcomedy, for 18 years. I’ve also produced The Bilarious Show in the National Queer Arts festival and written and directed four short comedy plays for Dreams On The Rocks productions. I’ve taught Sketch Comedy Development and Improvisational Comedy, and have been a founding member in several sketch and improv groups.
I’ve performed across the US and Canada, also in London, Glasgow, and at the Edinburgh Fringe festival.
I have dealt with childhood sexual abuse, Gender dysmorphia, Autism, ADHD and being Gay from childhood, and after a lifetime of dealing with these I am now working on a show to humorously share my experiences, information and philosophies to inform and enlighten, and to promote laughter, understanding and healing.
As my drag alter ego, Ginorma Desmond, I do stand-up comedy and cabaret, and Ginorma has acted with The Actors Ensemble of Berkeley and the Left Coast Theater Company in San Francisco.
