Avital Ash Workshops Her Suicide Note (WORK IN PROGRESS)

Whew. I find myself thinking a lot about Avital's show in the days since I saw it, a testament to the sheer amount of things in this show that resonated and made me think about things. I loved getting to see this stripped down look into Avital's life and experiences--the hilarious, the nonsensical, the ludicrous, the poignant. Avital navigates from heartbreaking and vulnerable to raunchy and utterly ridiculous deftly and creates moments that are deliciously uncomfortable. Edinburgh is so lucky to... full review

Witch Hazel: An Anxiety Play

From the beginning this was a masterful and accurate portrayal of anxiety, portrayed with great authenticity and skill by Eliza Gill. I was captivated by Eliza's performance throughout; in everything from her facial expressions to her hairstyle she creates a lush emotional landscape that fills an otherwise minimalist stage and holds the audience right there with her from start to finish.... full review

I've never seen LOTR and I thought this show was hilarious (like, laughed so hard I cried) so I'd imagine if you actually know what's going on it's even better. I was honestly enthralled by Riley's unhinged rendition of the movie and can't wait to watch it (but just the first 30 minutes) to see the film adaptation of Riley's masterful stage show.... full review

I loved Leb Deb! Anyone who's had to navigated a "hyphenated-American" identity, lived through the 90s, or been inclined to defy expectations will relate to Chris's stories. Chris made me both laugh and cry inside of an hour. A beautiful, funny show!... full review

A beautiful, rare opportunity to see someone I've loved watching on TV (Superstore) tell his own story and share what's important to him in his own hilarious way. I literally laughed so hard I cried at one point. This show is really f***ing funny. Go see it.... full review

WOW what a spectacular show! I was impressed by everything from the set design to Roni's deft multitasking on stage to her vulnerability in sharing her experiences.
