"Barbara of Seville" is a dance opera about a clumsy and love-struck dancer, Barbara, who dreams of performing on the grandest stage in all of Spain. When she finally gets her big break, chaos ensues as she tries to win the heart of her stoic dance partner and overcome her many mishaps on stage.
