Nicole Ghastin

Producer

Nicole Ghastin drove her Mazda stick shift solo from Northern Michigan to LA in 1998, swigging Snapples, smoking Camel Lights (quit eons ago), and eating Fig Newtons—with only a cassette tape of Graceland to sing along with. During her first year in LA, she landed a role in Coyote Ugly, playing Lindsay Morgan, a talent booker for the hippest club in New York.

Since then, among other credits, she has played a Boyle on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, recurred on General Hospital, and most recently appeared on Grey’s Anatomy and Monster(s). Some of the directors she has had the pleasure of working with include Jay Roach, Craig Gillespie, Roland Joffé, Joseph Kosinski, and Rob McElhenney, with whom she portrayed sci-fi writer Ursula K. Le Guin.

Lately, she enjoys coaching adults and kids, with a knack for troubleshooting self-tapes. She leans into the concept of relaxation and specificity to help actors shine. Having acted in well over a hundred commercials, she has also been referred by many agents and managers to assist clients in improving their callbacks, avails, and bookings.

Nicole has been married to the same fella, writer Marc Ketchem, since 2007; the guy in the other picture. They met when she auditioned for a play he wrote and directed. He did not cast her in that play—but you can hear the whole story if you buy her a drink. They now have a kid and two spoiled cats.
