With each character experiencing a specific and extreme trauma, they cling to various forms of dependence either through drugs, alcohol, or interpersonal relationships. "Is Krishna There?" parallels Lauren's journey of hope lost and regained with hindustani legend Begum Akhtar as they struggle with cultural and familial expectations. The cast members of "Yoni Ki Kahaniya" are not only incredibly talented, magnetic and charming, but what Tanya, Chhaya, Sharmita, Sapna, and Vee have created here is, in my opinion, a tribute to the alchemical power of sisterhood. The Pack Theater puts out some of the most original and interesting comedy in Los Angeles and that was extremely apparent last night at the "Best of Sketch Night" show featuring Friendo and Gold Baby. The sketches were so bizarre and fun you cannot help but laugh out of shock and subverted expectations.
