This show is so f****** funny. The performances were dialed in, the concept is hilarious and unique, and the energy was off the charts. I thoroughly recommend this show. I was blown away. ... full review

My Dead Dad

Sam is one of the most likable performers I have had the fortune of seeing. His natural and easy-going delivery allows him to seamless transfer back and forth from emotional admission to hilarious punchline with just a slight shift in his tone. Sam is ALL heart, and this show is both touching and hauntingly hilarious. ... full review

The Time Flies: Episodes 3 and 4

brandon raman · June 23, 2023 certified reviewer
This sketch show is so absurd and a lot of fun! With the show being centered around various historical events, I felt like I left the theater knowing more about American history. Stuff like Lee Harvey Oswald loving mayonnaise sandwiches. ... full review

The Arsonist of Venice

brandon raman · June 20, 2023 certified reviewer
"The Arsonist of Venice" is a hauntingly dramatic piece of theatre that fully indulges in the complex darkness of the human psyche. With each character experiencing a specific and extreme trauma, they cling to various forms of dependence either through drugs, alcohol, or interpersonal relationships. A beautifully dark piece of theatre, and one I found very captivating. ... full review

The Ramón Show & Friends: Collective Healing

brandon raman · June 18, 2023 certified reviewer
To say "The Ramón Show" is EASILY the most joyful show I have ever seen is, if you can believe it, an understatement. If charm was a person, it would be Ramón/Ruby. He/They/Ramóncito is the host of the century and I am now a forever-fan. Wow. I recommend this show to every single person I have ever known. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but this show is guaranteed to make anyone's day!... full review

Is Krishna There? A Begum Akhtar Story

brandon raman · June 18, 2023 certified reviewer
"Is Krishna There?" parallels Lauren's journey of hope lost and regained with hindustani legend Begum Akhtar as they struggle with cultural and familial expectations. What really stands out here is Lauren's vibrant stage presence and next level musicality. The voice on this woman is INCREDIBLE! I have never heard a live operatic voice like that before, and it blew me away. ... full review

Nick Pupo: Addicted

brandon raman · June 16, 2023 certified reviewer
I am truly blown away by Nick's talent and storytelling aptitude in "Addicted". Though he chose to perform the show in an intimate setting (which worked beautifully), his charismatic delivery could easily be translated to a concert hall, tomorrow. Hilarious, touching, and introspective, this show is top-tier. ... full review

YONIVERSE (formerly: YONI KI KAHANIYA)

brandon raman · June 16, 2023 certified reviewer
The cast members of "Yoni Ki Kahaniya" are not only incredibly talented, magnetic and charming, but what Tanya, Chhaya, Sharmita, Sapna, and Vee have created here is, in my opinion, a tribute to the alchemical power of sisterhood. And it's badass. Watching each of these four South Asian women spill the most vulnerable and intimate stories you can imagine out onto the floor of a crowded theater while their sisters support them through small choreographed vignettes left such a lasting impressio... full review

The Best-Of the Pack Theater

brandon raman · June 15, 2023 certified reviewer
The Pack Theater puts out some of the most original and interesting comedy in Los Angeles and that was extremely apparent last night at the "Best of Sketch Night" show featuring Friendo and Gold Baby. The sketches were so bizarre and fun you cannot help but laugh out of shock and subverted expectations. I will always choose bizarre and weird sketch over anything predictable and formulaic, and it's clear the Pack Theater does too. ... full review
