Chris Bramante

Chris Bramante is a writer, actor, musician, and improviser from Durham, NH who currently hangs hat in Los Angeles, CA. He is best known for his work with musical comedy collective Robot Teammate which performs weekly improvised live shows on Geek & Sundry’s Twitch Channel.

Since 2012, Robot Teammate has established itself as one of LA’s premier musical comedy troupes, entertaining theatergoers by creating spontaneous musicals based on audience suggestions at venues including UCB, Nerdist, Golden Road Brewing, and Impro Studio. They set a world record in 2014 for most consecutive cage match wins after spending 86 weeks in the Cherry Crush competition at iO West. They’ve since created two scripted musicals, “TIMEHEART” and “THUG TUNNEL” (Winner of A Little New Music’s Outstanding Songwriting Award), performed at Stan Lee’s LA ComicCon, were named “Best in Fest” at San Diego Improv Festival 2016, and acted in improvised musicals throughout the American Southwest.

Outside of Robot, Chris creates geek culture comedy music videos under the moniker Amontiock. His Harry Potter hip-hop anthem “Hufflepuff Puff Pass” received wide acclaim on pop culture blogs such as Nerdist, Hello Giggles, and io9, and his comic convention romance “Cosplay Girl” was accepted into Portland Music Video Festival, Hollywood Screenings Film Festival, Los Angeles CineFest, Shorts on Tap Festival, IndieWise, and Wirral International Film Festival.

An avid guru of science fiction and fantasy, Chris also hosts role playing gameshow “The Gauntlet” for Hyper RPG, writes for the Star Trek-inspired web series “The Red Shirt Diaries”, co-hosts Buffy the Vampire Slayer podcast “Sunnydale Study Group” and is a founding father of the “Hamiltunes LA” singalong parties. These karaoke celebrations of the Broadway musical sensation Hamilton started in an Indie improv theater in LA and have since spawned a network of Hamiltunes chapters all across the globe.
