Cricket Leigh

Cricket Leigh grew up in Kalamazoo, MI & then Chicago, where she performed at The Goodman Theatre and others all over the city. Cricket spent two summers acting at the prestigious Sundance Theatre Lab in Utah. There she worked with Tony award winning director Michael Mayer on the Original Workshop Prod. of Spring Awakening. She then moved to Los Angeles and began studying with The Groundlings.

She then began writing, producing & performing her one-woman show Constantly Distracted, where she played eight characters based on growing up her Grannie’s basement in the Midwest. The show was sold out at all five mountings of it from 2004-2008 in LA…

Her next play “CONFETTI BAYOU: The Last Interview With Janis Joplin, with her playing Janis, played to standing ovations at The Lounge Theatre in Novemeber 2010 & hopes to perform it again at this Year’s NY & Hollywood Fringe Fests!
