Dinosaurs

DINOSAURS is a true Absurdist play, with razor-sharp, quick-paced dialogue and heart-outta-the-chest vulnerability. Mandy Rubeli uses a theatrical symbol to great effect. The performances were unanimously powerful, with special mention paid to both Mandy and Hailey Hudson for their specificity and layered realities. This is absolutely a play that knows the lineage its in and a perfect example of how the limitations of a Fringe festival can help us get closer to theatrical truth. Bravi!... full review

White Lilies

WHITE LILIES is a powerful, highly-intellectual *and* emotional drama that packs a punch. Rush's instincts for what makes a story "a play" are here in every layer: two-person, moment-to-moment work; spectacle and magic; and intricate staging choices that dramaturgically affect both moment-to-moment work and magic. I highly recommend this play, and wish that this team soars high. If the Fringe festival is intended to be a place to take risks, WHITE LILIES - superbly acted and crafted - is a true e... full review

Vote for Tom Ryan: One Last Time!

This is a very fun show with a witty premise and a great cast. It felt like I was stepping into a performance with a cult-following, and in some truth, I was!: built from previous iterations, the play's characters had a history that was refreshing. But whereas some cult-followings isolate new-comers, I was always "let into the room." A great show! ... full review

Three Eulogies for Tyson Miller

A fantastic cast brought to life a poetic, in-and-out-of-present-time play that skillfully articulates the way grief moves us toward the truth. I thought Blackburn did a great job taking us on that road. Admitting that people are challenging to us, especially after they pass away, is a real act of courage, more so than when they're alive. Watching Quentin come to that bravery was moving. ... full review

COFFEE DATE

What a professional, polished and surprisingly warm show! Weiland crafted a ride that was laugh-out-loud funny - literally, the audience was uproarious - and also sneakily insightful. Each of the characters was contradictory in their wants, and got a tremendous, theatrical chance to share. Ultimately, this a love-letter to love and a plea to keep your heart open. ... full review
