One of the best shows I have seen at Fringe. Mayuri uses powerful storytelling in the forms of monologues, impeccable dances, and music to make the audience question the commercialization and appropriation of yoga in the West. As a South Asian audience member, many parts moved me to tears as I felt so seen in the unique perspective of being a consumer of a form of spirituality and movement that was taken from our people/that we were mocked for and is now being sold back to us. A powerful piece fr...

This piece was executed so well, from the writing to the performances. Even within the limitations of a fringe space, the two worlds of the play were so distinct and yet blended seamlessly into each other when it came time to meld. Skylar did a wonderful job of creating a storyline that shows how grief takes many different forms and how purgatory can be not just for those who have passed but for those who are still living....

This is by far the best show I have seen at Fringe this year!!! And so timely, really reclaiming the narrative in our time when the power is constantly being taken away from women, especially WOC, when it comes to control over our body. Such incredible storytelling through a mix of performance styles, incorporating character sketch impressions, poetry, prose, rap, dance, and conventional theatre dialogue. It was like a brilliant SNL skit that really made you laugh and cry like crazy!...

Such an important story to tell of the immigrant struggle of being uprooted from a place they have built a life in, also dealing with friendship and the many meanings of love. The writing of this show was incredible as was the stage picture and direction. Each actor fully embodied their role and gave life to these multidimensional characters....

It takes so much courage to tell a story so vulnerable, so first and foremost, kudos to the writer/director Jeannette Srinivasan and the cast for choosing to tell this story. Without giving any spoilers, the show was so aesthetically planned that it was clear what the vision was from start to finish, both in the language and in the stage picture. The story took us back through time into memories that were layered with grief and laughter, sadness and joy. It was a beautiful ode to life and death a...
