Phil Gould is a writer, director, improviser, actor, and musician living in Los Angeles. His first play, Mark! A Speculative History of Facebook debuted last year, and he is excited to bring his sophomore effort The Club of Broken Fasts to Fringe 2025! Past acting roles include Bottom and Petruchio in The Santa Barbara Shakesbeer Festival, Teflonto in The Black Apples, and various goofballs in sketches by Pony Ride, Cracked Egg, WGIS, and Tunguska Detour. You can see him improvising with Dub Set in their monthly show at the Pack Theatre as well as independent improv shows around town. In high school he was heavily involved in theatre, jazz band, and mock trial, but also wore a trench coat and snarled at kids he perceived as being popular.
He would like to dedicate this play to the important teachers in his life, including Carol Lansing, Ed English, Eric Burrows, and David Holmes.
