Maura Swanson

Maura Swanson is grateful to be performing in INAPPROPRIATE with NEOENSEMBLE Theatre in her first Fringe Festival. She wrote her own material for this show, which is a satirical look at the absurdity of the current far-right legislations in Texas and Florida.  Many of the outrageously offensive lines she speaks have been taken almost verbatim from elected officials.

After graduating from UT Austin, Maura pursued an MFA at Univ. Iowa before moving to NYC, where she studied with Jerzy Grotowski in Poland, became a Founding member of Circle Rep. Co LAB, attended Circle-in-the-Square Theater School and performed off-Broadway as well as worked as a writer and actor on several daytime dramas.  Biggest acting thrill was working with Ru Paul on AJ & THE QUEEN, which was written & directed by Michael Patrick King.
