I Can't Indian Good

Brandon tackles identities and insecurities of what it means to be an Asian-American. I appreciated the personalness of the spectrum of characters Brandon embodies that I heavily related to in being distant from cultural roots but still enjoying that we are a culmination of struggles and stories from our ancestors. All in all, fantastic show that had me crying from laughter and crying from feeling that thing in my heart. ... full review

Little Stars Youth Theatre Presents: MACBETH (a solo show)

It was a unique take, a twist from the very beginning of the show to the end. The play going through catastrophe and what would happen if the apocalypse were to rain upon us, what do we do but having the show go on.... full review

This was very educational and witty. Laser blended personal stories with trans history and activism while singing through love and life through his transitions. The show was impactful and felt good to watch.... full review

DISROBED - Live on Stage!

A very silly, wacky play of embracing your raw, natural self. The characters were incredibly bare. I like the leg up in creativity of letting every body participate in decently exposing themselves with consent to make everyone comfortable with being open about themselves. This show really offers insight to those who may be clothes-minded.... full review

Missionary Positions

I started this show laughing and came out tearing up. If I was lost before, I sure am found now from watching Dan give a heartfelt performance with humorous storytelling to the authentic vulnerability of the trauma that came from being a missionary to his relationship with religion and God. Dan wasted no second to communicate his journey with the audience and felt very relatable with being lost in this world. This show still makes me watery when I reflect back on the ending. ... full review

SoundTrip: Fringe Edition

sutichai savathasuk · June 25, 2023 uncertified reviewer
3 episodes, different genres, where everyone in the audience wears headphones to get a sound trip. 2 audience members are randomly picked (voluntarily) to play a scene. It's a very interesting concept of immersing the audience to hear the inner workings of the "actors" as they can switch the headphones to hear either one or the other character and see how the audience member embodies that character.... full review

Mark Pleases You

Mark please you with absurd comedy, improv jokes, unhinged impressions of his younger self that reminds me of Jim Carrey, and chaotic humor. Mark goes above and beyond embodying different characters to share the story of changing the life of his younger self to embrace his inner child.... full review

LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD

sutichai savathasuk · June 18, 2023 certified reviewer
With a constant bombardment of chaos ensuing, uninhibited outbreaks, and unhinged conversations, this show keeps you on the edge of your seat with "What in tarnation is going on?" The cast's character development by telling the story through flashbacks gave an excellent ending. Topics on gay love, poor decision-making, and college kids being down bad accelerated the roller coaster of emotions.... full review

Arizona Rain

A must-see play that involves the rawest characters focusing on the post-trauma from a life-threatening situation as a wake-up call to presenting the heart's truth in the face of mortality. The actors are incredibly human and natural. The layers of uncovering the character's relationship with another are well-paced with all the subtle reactions, movements, and body cues. ... full review
