This show was cast perfectly – the women on stage hold a chemistry and presence that makes you think they’ve been rocking out together for years. The storyline and characters kept me engaged with the band and their story from the second we see their writer and lead guitarist take the stage. Lisa Summerscales plays an exceptionally funny Murphy with excellent comedic timing and Kat Primeau embodied that je ne sais quoi of the band’s lead singer perfectly. A quintuple threat, this actress-writer-singer-dancer-character-inhabiter keeps you enthralled and engaged from the second the lights are out and you are waiting for her to appear – as her melodic singing beckons you into her story. If you came to the Fringe to see a powerful performance, DON'T MISS CHELA!!! Dulce Maria Solis packs a powerful performance and uplifting journey into Chela. Just as Shakespeare lightens Hamlet's load with the grave digger, so does Dulce deliver some hilarious characters throughout to keep the audience afloat.
