Coffee, Tea, and Gin

This was the most literal definition of insanity. Casey is a phenomenal actor and I truly appreciate the multiple facets he was trying to cover in this performance. I really enjoyed the bridge he was building between Lovecraft and JK Rowling. This was an interesting play about separating the art from the artist. But where the performance really shines is in the abstract concepts. I enjoyed the use of lighting and Casey's ability to metamorphize himself into that which cannot be named. I liked how... full review

Thank You So Much For Coming

A dinner party that slowly descends into madness. Alex Kern as Cynthia is such a fascinating character study into the mind of a hostess with clearly alot on her plate. She is funny, vulnerable, and so incredibly talented. She had full control of the room (which is impressive given that it was sold-out). Her audience interactions were hilarious and weird. Mildly uncomfortable but still fun to watch. By far, however, my favorite part was the descent into madness. I really enjoyed the use of lightin... full review

Prince Harry: Live! At Coachella

This was so funny and so fun to watch. It was like a cross between Austin Powers x Derek Zoolander. This show was just a catchy vibe filled with really funny (and true) commentary on Prince Harry. I felt like I was listening to a Biography at Coachella. This really was just a really fun show I recommend everyone see. ... full review

A raw and honest play about regrets and trauma. I found myself laughing and crying multiple times throughout this play. The acting was just so incredible and the lights/sounds/use of staging was just perfect. Everything here worked. The writing was tight and more importantly believable. I genuinely felt like this was a real night that really happened among 2 friends. The progression between conversations never felt corny or clunky it all felt so natural. The conversation between the 2 leads was j... full review

Unwrapped: Life After Giftedness

This was such a full force existential panic disguised as a comedy show. I laughed hard at the majority of jokes and I really appreciated how Kira spoke. In the sense that this was so poetic in its rhythm. There's a line she has about how atheists' talk to angels that I still think about. This performance was just full of authenticity and vulnerability. I enjoyed Kira's bravery in admitting that she wasn't always the good guy. She wasn't always the hero in other people's story and I appreciated t... full review

The Ramón Show & Friends: Collective Healing

Therapy as a variety talk show with a bit of clowning. I loved how open / honest Ramone was about their struggle and I really enjoyed all the clowning. This felt like Pee Wee's playhouse but if the house was a late night talk show about mental health. Overall great show ... full review

Mark Pleases You

This was like Jim Carrey's "The Mask" but about going through puberty. You ever see that one episode of Community where Abed can't decide if Nicolas Cage is a good actor or not and then he gets up on the table and pretends to be a cat? Yeah the whole show is pretty much that. This show was insane and unhinged. Mark is a phenomenal performer who pretty much has the audience on the edge of their seat the whole time. This show was just chaos (granted I went to the midnight showing where Mark was run... full review

Give Jonatan an award or something. He was such a captivating storyteller and had such a genuineness to him that I couldn't help but be enthralled by everything he said. He had the audience in the palm of his hands. I loved his audience interaction. The way he would dance / how he would move. I had no idea where this story was going to go but i was engaged the whole way through. I loved the way he conveyed so much emotion throughout this entire story. This was such a wonderful performance that l... full review

This felt like Coraline x Book of Life. The story is engaging and my God it has the best set out of ANY Fringe show I've seen this year. Shoutout Rody for writing such a great story. I felt like everyone was perfect for their roles. I also really felt like their use of the stage was phenomenal and smart. This was really something special that I really enjoyed watching. I hope this play wins some awards because it was genuinely so engaging and so well done.... full review

My god this show was Hilarious. I loved all the sketches. I loved the 4th wall break. I also feel like I genuinely learned alot about bugs. This show is exactly what Fringe is about. Just pure absurdist chaos. Every single sketch hit. I laughed hard the entire time. Please watch Bugs, this show is great!... full review
