Cathleen O'Malley

CATHLEEN O’MALLEY (Playwright/Performer) is an actor, writer, director, and voice-over artist based in Cleveland, Ohio. Cathleen has co-created original theatre with companies regionally and abroad, including world premiere collaborations in England, Denmark, Hungary, Jordan, and across the continental USA. She is a graduate of the London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA), where she trained in Lecoq-based physical theatre, bouffon, clown, commedia dell’arte, and corporeal mime under the pedagogical direction of Thomas Prattki and Amy Russell. Recently, Cathleen produced Cleveland’s first fringe festival as part of the inaugural BorderLight International Theatre + Fringe Festival (founded by Dale Heinen and Jeffrey Pence), a four-day multi-stage performing arts festival that launched in downtown Cleveland July 2019. Her original solo play about milk and motherhood, MILKDRUNK, recently premiered Off-Broadway at the United Solo Festival at Theatre Row before returning to Cleveland for a sold-out run.
