Amy is a writer and actress from Indy who makes a living in pharmaceuticals. She had the luxury of not attending a fancy theater school that tells people that they can’t write, star in, and direct their own pieces. She does all three. Sue her.
She started acting four years ago in an effort to overcome a shyness.
A couple of years later she became bored and annoyed with the types of parts that were available: old senile women, dowdy middle-aged women, and vapid twenty-somethings with marriage on the brain.
She decided to start writing her own plays so that she could inhabit more interesting characters. Since writing her own scripts, she has portrayed a stripper, a lesbian, the grim reaper, a homeless punk rocker, a socialist, and a suicidal writer.
