I met Mitch at the very first Office Hours and we've become Fringe friends so I was excited to see his show. I'm glad I did. Mitch embodied Mike Royko, but it was also a fascinating history of Chicago with themes of politics, racism and gun control that are still so relevant today. Holy moly, Charlotte Munson was AMAZING! It was truly an acting tour de force. And she wrote the music, the book and the lyrics, which were all wonderful. The staging was also fantastic and it was fun the way she interacted with the audience. I thoroughly enjoyed the HFF workshop on budgeting and fundraising. As a first time producer at Fringe, I'm finding that these workshops and panels are a great resource for how to produce low budget theater in LA.
