The Second Coming of Joan of Arc

A powerhouse performer. The delivery had very rhythmic and musical quality. The material was highly informed, though not overbearing; and with an emotional weight to swing you out the door. I am sorry that I had to leave to make another curtain. ... full review

This is an imaginative work that addresses some very unseen aspects of u.s. society. it curiously uses malapropism, pun, gag line, and even camp in very strangely disarming ways. It needs some tighten up. Nevertheless, ensemble productions in Fringe are their own wild beast. I respect the creators and players who accomplish such, in a short amount of time - on a string...... full review

A masterful portrayal! A rare connection of player and material. An extremely well balanced play with an extremely and delicately unbalanced protagonist forever seeking balance. Truman Capote was a bold and unapologetic ancient archetype. I suppose any other time period that he might have been born into the world on, September 30th (you do the math...) very well could have exhibited similar results in human triumph and foible.... full review

So glad that I was let in late. I did experience enough to appreciate many aspects of this worthy ensemble production. Top of the list, Mama was ALL BOLD CAPTIVATING. Bare footed, dancing all the way - even in the shadows. I suspect that I have seen this woman before, as it was evident that she is a veteran of this biz. But for all intents and purposes, I am glad I have lived to witness her exceptional talent. Next close by, Pastor! Fringe should pay both these women twice!! Which I know would... full review

I feel the need to state that, this was my date's selection. Now, if you are reading on... It's a curious piece of theatre. One character is terrifically unlikable for the first... twenty minutes. The other is even more beguiling at various times. There is a riptide of Christianity throughout. ... full review

The boy worked himself into a state! There was one point briefly during which the train was barreling at a run-away speed (I had to blow my whistle) but, wow! He's got powers... and his purpose seems to be freedom.... full review

I had fun overall. It's no surprise that in a multi-multi-culti-culti sketch show, some scenes are stronger than others. This was a fair and commendable balance and, a survey - if I may - of L.A. There were some fun, kinky bits... and some which were admirably "borderline" so... it did what it's supposed to do. A few cheap shots and gross-outs but, daring enough.... full review

A rare show, and a distinctive performance. And not what I expected - which gives more reason to respect. Saunders' delivery is focused, nuanced, and often spellbinding. ... full review

She's a powerhouse! And she is another compelling life story, up from this American society. And as we performers are ultimately seeking our own way to pray in public, this is a worthy cry and celebration of redemption. Esquizito https://www.hollywoodfringe.org/projects/6129... full review

Wow...! What a ride... Que lastima! Bold... Well crafted. Excellent players... Warm & lusty visuals including, Tango...! And... enough surrealism for one, decade. Here's to the old timers who are still around. We, as artists, are in and indeed of an era of, Show in the time of Fake.
