The Transpiring

The Transpiring makes for a killer evening! A fun twist on a coming out story. The hip-hop was really fun and kept the story moving with a good rhythm. Spencer Frankeberger did a great job bringing joy to the theatre making this show is pure fun. Veronica Carey Matthews brought her heart to this and it shows. Through all the fun, the puns, blood, rhymes, gags, and Harry Potter there is a powerful heartfelt story that everyone can enjoy. ... full review

Philosophy & Pasta -- Live Comedy Taping

The whole show is great! Each one of the comics and the MC were unique and really strong. JP stole the show though as he’s supposed to. He had some takes that I’ve never considered before and they had me cracking up. JP is a star. I hope this special does well and gets the recognition it deserves. I’ll be recommending it for a long time. ... full review

Stolen Stories: Reclaiming Those that Our Government Keeps from Us

Inspirational. Impactful. Important. Carlfrances gives me hope for humanity. I walked away from the theatre with the feeling that I need to connect with the people around me and use theatre as a tool to help people tell the stories that are being ignored. Thank you for the reminder Carolfrances. ... full review

Zoog Dabbity

Zoog Dabbity has been my favorite Fringe show out of the 20 or so I’ve seen so far. Zachary Reimers is maybe a genius haha I say maybe because I don’t want to just throw the G-word around, but if this wasn’t a permanent public review—I’d drop the maybe. Zachary Reimers is a genius. This guy can make anything funny. His comedic timing is second to none. The structure of the show creates a beautiful landscape full of opportunities to interact with the audience, connect, and create gut b... full review

Suck My Tongue

Suck My Tongue is a highlight of my 2024 Fringe experience. The play is well written by Benjamin Schwartz. I am really impressed by the idea and premise of this show. I liked the Western PR team angle. This is my third time seeing Ryan Lisman perform; he continued to impress with another layered performance. Spencer Weitzel is one of my favorite actors and he reminded me again why. His grounded commitment in the absurdity of the situation at hand and his ability to play manic realisticall... full review

The Wolves

The script is well-known as being well-written; the cast and the directors do the script justice. Each actor was was well cast and I understood their characters immediately. The actress who played the girl who lives in a yogurt was a standout for me. But each actor was great. If you haven’t seen this show yet, you are missing out. This is a phenomenal rendition of The Wolves. Bravo. ... full review

Shakespeare, Inc.

hahahaha WOW this show was a lot of fun! I stumbled into this show and I'm so glad I did. The Shakespeare was amazing. The modernizing and setting it in an office worked well. The most fun part is that it's CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE. This worked so well. It was highly engaging for the audience and impressive that the actors could pull it off and were prepared for the show to go in any direction. The acting was great all around. Overall, a fantastic time. I would recommend this show to anyone espe... full review

SAM

Sam Labrecque is OUTSTANDING. Her comedy, her voice, her vulnerability, all come together to make a top notch show. Every actor can relate to this show. As an actor myself, this show provided me with great catharsis and a feeling that I'm not alone in this journey and that this journey is a worthy pursuit. I loved it and after seeing it, I felt that it was a necessary and healthy way to spend an hour. I'm excited for Sam's future and mine as well haha that's how I felt after seeing it. BULGER BOYS

Joe Coffey is ELECTRIC. As we journey through Whitey Bulger's life Joe kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time as he seamlessly transitioned between a family of characters. His energy fills the room and creates the momentum that carries us on a roller coaster of emotions. As for the writing, this solo play deserves to be published. The script along with Joe's colossal performance makes Bulger Boys a MUST-SEE in this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival. ... full review

Hilarious. Thematically coherent and unpredictable. This was my first show of the festival and I’m glad it was. I left the theatre feeling inspired by George’s courage. It was a fun and free exploration of George’s life. His vulnerability and ability to articulate the nuances of all the ups and downs that come with choosing an artist’s life made me feel more secure about my own journey haha ... full review
