Michael has such a unique style of storytelling. His 'off the cuff' style had me on the edge of my seat. He opens up his heart, as he goes through the few keepsake pieces that he could save from being destroyed in a fire. It really is baffling how the world tries to keep us small. Like that 'Gopher Game' in carnivals where you take a mallet and bonk peeking heads of gophers back in their holes. Lisa's dueling personalities, 'Warrioress' and 'Shame' are in all of us as we grow and develop to discover who we are. In my opinion, solo-artistry allows for the non-professional actors and playwrights to brave the stage and share their life-stories. Frontline Heroes of the world! You gotta see one of your own gracing the stage! By day she's Florence Nightingale. By night she's literally a songbird! Oh the intricate details of the miseries Charley had to endure. But she tells of her woes in such a comedic way that you're caught off-guard laughing with her and NOT at her. To look at Kevin at first glance I saw a Caucasian male. But when I looked closer I then noticed his afro curls. But even, still not until he got 5 minutes in to his show did I find out he was mixed.
