I can't stop thinking about it. One of the best new plays I've ever seen. The acting was breathtaking, the direction brilliant, the production top-notch, and the writing as good or better than the best! There's one more show, on July 8, and you have no excuse for not seeing it if you can. It should be SRO!!... full review

GATSBY an Immersive Illumination - Chapter 1: East Egg

Go ahead and give the HFF Immersive Theatre Award one more time to Kristen Boulé, Tiffany Asta, and 2Cents Theatre Company for yet again creating a brilliant theatre event. This is a smart piece that assumes you are knowledgeable and worldly and know about such things …. While it’s a plus to know Fitzgerald’s “Gatsby”, this erudite production works on levels for everyone interested in interactive and challenging events. The food was great (thank you for the vegan choices), and special props t... full review

Funny Bonz, the Humerus Solution

If you need a show that takes you out of the multitude of woes in the world, this is the one for you. Its no holds barred humor gives your spirit a kick, and I was pleased that there was so much music. Congrats to Jon Peterson, Betsy Paull, and Brandon Millet for putting together a wonderfully ridiculous evening for us all to enjoy. Everyone was terrific with special props to Shai Culver, Kara Brouelette, Jimmy Hippenstiel, and Jon Peterson (who wasn’t in enough of the show, as far as I’m conc... full review

(It's Been 76 Years And We're) Still Waiting for Lefty

The opening moments of “It’s been 76 Years” grabbed me right away, with the direction by Richard Piatt and choreography by Soda Persi. And the scenes, so incredibly relevant, masterfully penned by Gregory Crafts, kept me totally tuned in to what was happening before me. An important piece that should be seen by everyone. And props to Soda Persi for not only her choreography but for the depth of her acting skills that brought me to tears. The tie-in from past to present is genius.... full review

Durang!

Superbly directed by Kristin Towers-Rowles, tying all four pieces together so well and casting the shows so brilliantly, with all the actors giving terrific performances. Standouts were Michael Mullen, playing women as only he knows how to, Michael Marchak and Shayna Gabrielle as Tink and Peter (ya gotta see it, plus props to Shayna for some brilliant deadpan delivery that kept everyone laughing), and Jen Talton, drawing attention as the foil for the absurd position she’s been unwittingly put in... full review

A great script by Jim Blanchette, with surprises at every turn. Hysterical and heartbreaking, and oh so smoldering with wonderful performances by Lisa K. Wyatt and Esther Mira. Totally taken by this wonderful production.... full review

Tattered Capes

TATTERED CAPES was totally unique and surprising. It started out like I thought it would but then took me in a whole other direction that caught me off guard. A love story wrapped in super hero capes and other dimensions, but it had the common themes of love and relationships that we all experience: Finding out things we didn't know about our partner, the changes in dominance, outside forces, our friends' influence, and, ultimately, whether we really love each other for the long haul or not. ... full review

NORMAL

This show should definitely be seen, but be ready to hear some things that might be more than you bargained for (and if you're sensitive to animals, and I am, then be prepared). But if you're ready for a challenge to your mind and senses, this is the production for you. The performances couldn't have been more mesmerizing and committed. And the direction was spot on.... full review
