THE DAREDEVIL AWARD
Sponsored by Electric Lodge
Description
Electric Lodge is Venice Beach’s home for non-traditional artistic expression, providing opportunities for artists and community members to connect, create, and inspire. Founded in 1997 by Dr. Joel Shapiro, Electric Lodge is one of the first solar-powered performing arts centers in California with a 99-seat blackbox theater, dance studio, and classroom space. In 2024, Kent Jenkins (a Hollywood Fringe veteran since 2015) joined the team as Associate Artistic Director and is leading the charge for their inaugural Daredevil Arts Festival this July 11-13.
The Daredevil Award is presented to a show that exhibits what Electric Lodge champions – original work that is unique, multi-disciplinary, and boundary-pushing.
Accepting submissions through the end of previews on Tuesday, June 10.

Must be an original work, under 60 minutes, and available to perform at 7:30 PM on Saturday, July 12. (Tech rehearsal will be arranged and provided separately.)

- Fringey (self-sufficient with simple tech)
