We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Sydney Fringe Festival. Through this partnership we are able to offer opportunities after HFF25 and continue to celebrate the art that connects us globally.
About Sydney Fringe
Sydney Fringe has a bold vision to be celebrated as one of the world’s leading Fringe festivals and we are well on our way! Each September emerging artists and culture creators from all over the city join forces with us to share Sydney’s stories, presenting new work from all genres. Outside of festival time the Sydney Fringe works with public and private sector partners to activate unused space, drive policy and regulatory reform and advocate for independent artists to build a vibrant and sustainable arts, culture and creative industries sector.
We are a not-for-profit, open-access festival which means we welcome all artists, creative people and audiences from all walks of life. Each September culture creators from all over the city join forces with us to demonstrate the type of city they want to live in all year round. Our program is curated by our artists for our audiences. Where else can you see HUNDREDS of world premieres made in your backyard? Or if you are a visitor popping by our beautiful city, what better way to get to know Sydney’s true feelings?
The Sydney we love is vibrant, experimental, expressive, playful, creative, and diverse. We look forward to a day when our creative communities are adequately resourced, effectively supported and valued for the contribution they make to our great global city. Until then, we will continue to celebrate together each September as we work with the community to transform the landscape of our city into unique experiences, you won’t find at any other time of the year.

Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be local to California
- Have a show/crew of 4 people or less
- Be willing to travel to Sydney, Australia in September 2026
- The show must be 60 minutes or less (or can be easily cut down to that run time if awarded)
- The awarded show would be responsible for transportation to and from Sydney.
- Awarded show must obtain and cover the cost of necessary Visas to travel and work as a performer in AUS. (Hollywood Fringe will help applicant through the process.)

Methodology
The participating festival makes a final decision based on input from a group of adjudicators organized to see all shows that pique the partner festivals interest and meet all requirements.
