What I didn't like

They should really change the title. It does not indicate what this show is. I only came because I have a friend who is performing in it, but if I was a random person who saw the name of this play on the website or a poster, I would have no way of knowing what this show was and have no reason to want to see it. Your average person isn’t going to spend $30 on a ticket to a show if they’re not sure if it’s a play, a revue, a concert, or whatever. They could make it clearer by calling it “Homegrown: A Musical Play in Two Acts” or even just “Homegrown: A Musical”. That’s my opinion.

My overall impression

Music was good. Singing was good. They also have a coffee bar on the first floor with pretty reasonable prices for LA. You can put in an order in advance for something to eat or drink for intermission.
