The risks the actors took, their vulnerability, the unique pieces of themselves they brought to the story.
What I didn't like
The two characters are at different points in their “unmasking” journey and it might be fun to see if their stories could be a little more intertwined or play off one another. They come together at the end nicely and there is some fun humor as well, and it might be more impactful if they could relate somehow during the entirety of the show.
My overall impression
This show highlights the best things about theater: a raw, unpredictable, real human experience where the audience gets to go on the ride with the actors. You never know where they’re gonna go next and it’s honest, vulnerable, and in an hour or so running time, a tight piece!
