What a set! What a cast! Hedda jumped right off the page and onto the stage. I feel as if I know her! Every cast member came in with their own energy which swept above the dour boredom Hedda maintains throughout. The guns on the wall reimagined with omnious black balloons. Everyone was in a state of grace through out the show. I can’t imagine a better version of this.
What I didn't like
I have no notes. Bravo!
My overall impression
I LOVED this show. Rarely does the past sing and feel as modern as this play does. I’ve read Hedda many times, but I never really understood her until I saw this production. A MARVELOUS cast that kept me compelled for the entire run time. What ever was cut out I didn’t even miss. This is the sort of theatre that really charges me up!!
