What I liked
I really enjoyed the audience interaction in this show! Avital asked a few audience members about specific things they loved. It was so sweet to watch such genuine interactions and quietly think how I’d answer these questions, and why certain things matter so much in my life. I also really liked the physical parts of Avital grabbing her notebook and writing, love a good prop!!
What I didn't like
I could listen to Avital all day long, so nothing.
My overall impression
Avital’s show is a dream because I love solo shows and dark comedy. I will think about this show for a long time. Truly so many hilarious moments and unbelievably painful memories throughout. She is a wonderful storyteller. The title of this show is too good. So much of this show feels like you’re just listening to a friend who wants to be heard on such a deep level. I think a lot of us make jokes when we try to open up and Avital really nails this in a beautiful way to watch. She’ll say something so heavy, then immediately hit you with the funniest one-liners. You’ll laugh, cry, audibly gasp, and wish it would never end.
