Avital Ash Workshops Her Suicide Note (WORK IN PROGRESS)

What I liked

Avital has a disarming and engaging stage presence. She is an excellent joke writer, unflinchingly candid, and knows how to wring both tension and pathos out of the story she is telling without manipulating the crowd’s emotions.

What I didn't like

I saw a fairly early performance of the show that was still a work in progress. There were some minor issues with pacing and delivery that I am certain will improve as Avital gets more confident with the material.

My overall impression

A charming, witty presentation of some genuinely harrowing personal trauma with the courage to let the audience judge for themselves whether anything short of the moment of death can ever feel like a satisfactory resolution.
