What I liked
Solid performances all around, but especially from the lead duo of Crissy and Marcy who feel like real people I’ve met before, with a strong relationship and long history with each other that really comes across in the performance and script. The will they/won’t they aspect of their relationship was also very well done.
The script is witty and full of little moments that made me stroke my chin and go, “hm.”
It took me a second to wrap my head around how the characters interact over phone calls, but I ultimately found that aspect of the show clever and impactful.

My overall impression
A near-death experience is a wake-up call and opportunity to discover what is really important to you. Or at least, that’s how it’s supposed to be. You get real honest after a near-death experience, but in Arizona Rain, much like me when I had mine, that honesty only extends so far. Sometimes, even after facing your own mortality, being honest to the one person that matters most remains impossible: yourself.
