What I liked

For the very first time, after seeing a number of R&J productions in past years, this troupe mastered conveying not just the play’s tragedy, but also the play’s humor, all wrapped in the reality of the diversity of today’s world. This re-staging of R&J incorporates the relevance of today into a time-honored tale of tragedy in a manner I could not have envisioned. Truly well-done. My hope is it will gain momentum for a much wider audience. It deserves it. We all deserve it!

What I didn't like

I was so taken by the production, the actor’s skills and the story-line that I made no note of deficiencies. Sorry.

My overall impression

This R&J adaptation was incredible! The drama of this romantic tragedy has been both preserved and yet brought to life for today’s audiences in this edgy production.
Stunningly beautiful Juliet, masterfully played by Scarlett Dyer, was well positioned opposite the conflicted Romeo, Johnny Briseno. I’d see it again and again…
