What I liked

Scarlett was a refreshing Juliet who excelled at finding the humor in this role (something I feel actors sometimes overlook). Her “gallop apace” moment was beautiful, it’s a top three soliloquy for me and she did not disappoint. The lighting design was great and really set the tone of each scene. Amy Geist’s Nurse was absolutely hilarious, I loved everything she did.

What I didn't like

There was just one moment when a song played a little loud and it was hard to hear the actors, but it seems like that was tweaked pretty quickly!

My overall impression

What a fun idea for Romeo and Juliet! The music in the transitions really did remind me of Coachella, and the pacing of the play was fantastic. For a play that’s produced pretty frequently, I don’t think I’ve seen a Romeo and Juliet like this!
