Absolutely absurd. This clown show is ridiculous and insane. Claire is electric, hilarious and a force to be reckoned with...

This is a uniquely profound and entertaining experience. Claire brings honesty, humor, and vulnerability to her work and is a master at what she does! I highly recommend!...

This show was clowning at it's finest. There was never a dull moment and I could certainly watch this again and again. Particularly, I really enjoyed that the Claire took her time with the "bits." Each scene was able to breath. ...

Claire is an open nerve and her show had a profound effect on me. It's so rare that I see a show that changes the way I view performance in general, and A Retrospection is one of them. Claire is so beautifully funny and wildly creative. The show is absurdist comedy with raw, honest self-examination. She is a fascinating artist and spectacle and I can't wait to see what she does in Edinburgh. Go see this show! ...

Claire Woolner's show is about ego and about connection and about failure and about all the thoughts we have when we want to make art. It's about the stupid voices in our head after we try something brave... or don't try something brave.
It's a weird show. It's very, very human. Claire is a very, very human performer. If you like engaging with intimate, stickety wickety stuff, GO. It's a laff.
I'm a big fan of art that makes me feel things in my body, and I feel Claire's show all the way in my spine -- and that's a hint about this show!...

Very entertaining show. I don't have too much Fringe experience, but to me this was exactly what a Fringe show should be. Weird, funny, uncomfortable, edgy, personal, soul-baring, and a whole lot of WTF. My wife and I had no past experience with Claire's work. But comedy and clowning appealed to us. This is definitely a show that gets you thinking and debating. We had totally different interpretations of what we had seen. In fact, it's almost like we saw two totally different shows. We've been talking about it non-stop. There's been a lot of "Oh you thought it meant that?" A very memorable experience....
